Mother Nature Uncooperative = NO FISH!!

This was the very first weekend of the year that we went out fishing. We were all excited and pumped. We went out to buy our fishing license (at Walmart of course). We were hoping that the weather would turn around and be gracious to us but however, of course dear Mother Nature was being a rebel. It freaking snowed and rained off and on through out the day. To top that off...it was windy as it ever could be! My boys were stoked about fishing so they kept asking us for re assurance that we would STILL GO! LOLs!!! As we promised, we did take them on Saturday for a little bit but got too cold and dark. Below are the results of the day. Obviously, no fishes at all...couldn't even feel a single bite! I was smart............I stayed in the car the whole time. Well, except for when we were about to go home and I felt bad for not participating so I went out and threw like 3 cast. Had to call it quits for it was so dam cold! My fingers were going numb from just like 10 minutes being outside!! Below are pictures from Saturday.

Picture below: I wanted to show everyone how how the Wolf River in New London looked like since the river was rising with water. Look where the water meets the rocks..........That used to be a small decline of all rocks which was pretty steep to get to the river. Now that has all been covered with the river! Even some houses, their lawn was covered with water! I wouldn't be surprise if their sump pump was going all crazy 24/7 and or if their basement was all drenched in water! Yikes!!!!

Picture below: Husband, son Brandon and son Princeton. After checking out New London, we headed out to Eureka dam. The Dam was no where in sight as it was engulfed in all the water!
Picture below: I thought this was interesting...an old student school desk out in the middle of nowhere...lols! I guess they thought it would be more interesting to study outside by the river than a typical school class room! LOLs!!!
Picture below: After checking out Euerkee dam, we headed to Green Bay to pick up my brother in laws as they had wanted to go fishing with us as well. We then all went to Pampering Park in Green Bay to check out the river there. Obviously, the river was also very high! My brother in law Arnold.

After checking out the park, we decided to head back to Eureka and fish....as it kind of stopped raining and snowing. We figured that maybe the fish might start biting then.

Picture below: Husband fishing. This is in Eureka by the dockside. As you can see, it was starting to get dark and of course, it was still freezing cold! It was too cold. Stayed there for about 45 minute and came back home. NO FISH!

The next morning we set our alarm for 5:00 am! Hahahahaha...what a fail! We woke up at 7 and didn't get to Eureka until almost 8 am! There was about 1 or 2 cars there only. It was a beautiful day....except it was freezing cold!!! And oh......the wind never died out! Windy and cold! Good side of it, it was bright and sunny. So we thought that since it was sunny out, the fishes might just bite a little..just a little. To our dismay...after husband, my boys and my brother in laws threw like a million cast...NOTHING! We then decided to go to Waukau near Eureka to just through a couple of cast for fun. My kids were disappointed because we caught no fishes so, with us going there it might just please them for a tab bit.

Picture below of Sunday morning in Waukau. It was super sunny by noon time. Looks can be deceiving.....
NO LUCK what so ever in Waukau too so then we decided to go to Omro. NO LUCK in Omro as well, so we again...decided to go to New London. On our way to New London from Omro, we got side tracked and went to visit an abandoned vehicle out by the rock quarry. We wanted to go into the rock quarry (It was really interesting to our eyes) but it had a old rustic sign that says, "NO TRESPASSING". I didn't think of taking a picture of that rustic sign..as it was kinda creepy looking there. It also had a camera there.....not even sure if the camera was working or not. Maybe it was just there to scare off people.....lols! It did look kinda beat up!

Picture below: The very old beat up car. Glasses shattered and windows broken.

Of course you've probably guessed it by now that when we got to New London....we didn't catch any fish either. We figured it was too cold and river/water too high. Oh Mother Nature...please cooperate this coming weekend...PLEASE! And YES, we are planning to go fishing again this coming weekend!! Yay!!!

Picture below of my white bass dish I made on Sunday night. The white bass is from my brother Joseph when he caught it last weekend in Eureka.

Steamed fish with herbs! Super yumi!
I hope that everyone is able to go out at least once this year to go fishing. It really is a neat sport...fun time to be with your family and seeing your kids just have fun!

There are two types of fisherman - those who fish for sport and those who fish for fish.  ~Author Unknown

A Royal Wedding...A MUST SEE!!

April 29th. It is set for the Prince of England...Prince William and Kate. I am sooo watching this! I cried when his mother Princess Diana married Prince Charles. I had envisioned that I was the one in that beautiful dress...being married off to a Prince...being whisked away in the Cinderella glass chariot. When Princess Diana passed away...I cried..and cried. She was an inspiration to me. She was a hero to me. I felt that I was her...(Okay...so really, I'm not psychotic..lols!) I'm sure all you girls had dreams of being a princess before...hehehehe.

Anyways, when Princess Diana passed away, I thought that no one else would/could ever replace such a remarkable person..a true princess who was very well loved by everyone all around the world. Now how many years later....who knew that her oldest son Prince William would marry someone that closely resembles her? Kate is a beautiful person and I totally fell in love with her when she was introduced to the world right next to Prince William. She is so graceful, seems to be very caring and she has such a beautiful wardrobe!!! aha!! Gotta love a girl's fashion too...her hats, oh my!

I'm so ecstatic about the wedding and can't wait for it! It's a girls' dream come true....I will feel like a princess when I'm watching the royal wedding. It'll be a beautiful one of course! Princess Diana would be so proud.

So, set your date everyone...It is on April 29th!!! Woot woot!!! I'll be there watching with everyone else of course!

Weekend plans: Not sure...planning to go fishing but it looks like it maybe raining. Whatever it is...I'll be sure to have pictures of the weekend!! Until next blog...have a wonderful/safe weekend everyone!!
