CAN'T WASTE A BEAUTIFUL DAY...

sitting home that is. Today's weather was an extreme beauty, who could resist NOT going outside and enjoying this spectacular weather? When the kiddos got home, I decided to take them to the park and of course, grabbed my camera. While the other kids played at the playground, my youngest daughter Paris and I headed to a nearby field of gold..well, not literally a field of gold GOLD but a field of gold tall grass and dried up flower buds/stems. It was perfect as the sun was shining radiantly upon the field too. Couldn't resist taking photos there!!

My daughter Paris is a natural in front of the camera. She's the ONLY child of mine that is willing to be in front of the camera (Who knows when this will last eh?). She LOVES to pose and loves taking pictures. Paris didn't really want to take any photos in this field as she was skeptical there might be snakes or some other moving creatures lurking in the field. Had to convince her several times that there was NOTHING there (ahem...I had to look over my shoulders and below my feet several times...but shhhh don't tell her that). There was even a couple of times she thought she had seen something moving. I just told her that it was I moving around that rattled the nearby branches...(hopefully it was me..yikes). Had to tell her several times "Paris focus!" LOLs!!!

Below are some shots we took. I hope you enjoy them!

THE END.

EASY COOKING/GRILLING

What my sister in law and I thought was to fill our hungry tummies with pho this afternoon so, we decided to go to the NEW restaurant that just opened up. Basil Cafe, which just opened up about a month or two ago in Appleton, Wisconsin. I'm always skeptical about ordering pho from a new restaurant because I'm picky about my pho. Well, I was hoping it would be good but to my dismay, it wasn't at all what I was hoping for. The price was pretty pricey for a medium bowl of pho and they were quite stingy about the condiments (sauces, black pepper, salt). The broth was just "okay"...it would've been better if they offered the condiments/sauces so that we can create our own taste to it. I would NOT go there again for their pho but I would go there again to just try other dishes. There were other customers there that ordered different selections of dishes and it looked/smelled very good. Wished we had ordered what they ordered instead. So, I only ate a little of the noodle and meat and didn't even finish my bowl. I probably ate only a quarter of it. NOTE: If it was good, I would've gobbled it all up!!!

So, to my dismay I left the restaurant still kinda hungry and NOT satisfied. Came home and cooked myself a late dinner: Grilled chicken rubbed with salt, black pepper, onion and garlic powder and chili oil sauce and of course my favorite vegetable, grilled asparagus. Can never get enough of the asparagus!! So easy to make and grill!!

If you have a griller at home, I suggest you use it!!! Here is my recipe and direction!!

1. Chicken breast, cut up thinly. It could be little pieces or a big one but make sure it's thinly sliced (so it can be cooked fully).

2. Just add in your spices such as your salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili oil sauce and a lemon squeeze. Mix and put on your grill!!

3. Rise your asparagus or your choice of veggies. Cut off the hard ends of the asparagus. Sprinkle with the same spices and put onto your grill!!

**You don't have to add the garlic chili sauce if you don't want to. I just like mine HOT!

EASY, FAST and DELICIOUS!!! Of course, you can add any other spices you want to it but I like mine just like this and it tastes awsome!!!

All ready for grilling!!

Ingredients I used. I get my garlic, onion and basil powder from BIG LOTS. They sell it cheap for only $1.00 each!!!

Almost done cooking! Remember to flip your meat and asparagus over too!!

The finished product. YUMMY!!

You are my SUNSHINE, my only SUNSHINE.......

you make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away. This song is exactly what I think of when I see my little niece Skarlette. She's soo beautiful and chunky and cute and soo squish able. She's going to be one spoiled little girl....well, okay, she kinda is already...lols! Love her soo much.

I wanted to take pictures of her before she got really big so  I finally had the chance to do so over the weekend. I couldn't wait to upload them afterwards! I'm glad I was able to capture the many different face expressions of our little Skarlette. Her attitude sure does shine through in her pictures!! Enjoy!!

The outfit she's wearing in these next couple of photos is the outfit that I recently made by hand. Everything was stitched and sewn by hand. I think it matches her PERFECTLY!

Below is the actual outfit...the top was suppose to be the hat but I decided to make it into a headband instead.

She would NOT sit still when we put her into this dress below. Glad I was able to capture a couple photos of her though. Her mom, Annie, bought this outfit for her.

She's such a brat in this photo....ahhh..gotta love this little girl though!

Here's another outfit that we put her in. She was actually pretty good with this outfit and sat still...well..sorta despite wanting to take off her hat.

This next photo, she looks like a doll! Look at her hand, her chubby fingers!
Just a fun photo to leave you with. Her BIG beautiful smile! She really does make your heart melt!

IT'S BEEN AGES!!!

Wow, it's been like almost a year since I last blogged! Reading all my blogs that I had posted in the past..I kinda chuckled to myself and thinking "I posted this?" LOLs!!! Hilarious.

Okay, okay, okay...so finally, I decided to blog again. I stopped for a while because there were some circumstances in my life that I needed to deal with and certain people whom I needed to uhm..let's just say....get rid of.

Everybody goes through a rough patch in their life whether it be now or later or many yesterday's ago...the point is...you get through it because you're here TODAY and that's all that matters. I'm just lucky that my husband and kids are healthy this year so far (knock on wood) and that everything is going smoothly up to date.

I'm so eager for spring to arrive as I want to go on as many road trips as possible withe the hubby and kids. It's been ages since we did any good LONG road trips. Also, spring = fishing! YES fishing!!! I LOVE fishing!!! My hubby got me hooked! Can't wait.

We've been blessed with such warm and nice weather this year so far (again..knock on wood). It's almost March and we've probably had about maybe just 7 inches of snow altogether? WOW! I know right? Hate winter here in Wisconsin but I wouldn't want to move anywhere else too...I know, it's kind of like the "love and hate" relationship...LOLs!!

I've recently purchased my Nikon D7000 camera. It's an awsome camera! I've been practicing on my camera recently. Not as good as I want the pictures to be but I'm learning and like they say "practice makes perfect". I just need to upgrade to a new/good lens..hopefully soon too.

Below are some shots I took, trying to put my camera into practice mode. There will be tons more in the future of course!! Enjoy!!

And of course, I always leave my blog with a poem/quote:

Pizza Pizza Family Fun Time!!!!

Kids been asking, "When are we going to make pizzas again like last time?" Gosh, that was like ages ago. Try like 6 years ago or even longer? LOLs. Since the kids has been complaining that during their weekdays are so boring, we decided that we should get back into making things from scratch with the kids. We use to do this every other week but of course, we slacked off and it's been ages since.

We all made our own individual pizzas. Kids had such a fun time! My baby especially kept saying how much he liked making his very own pizza. Awww.
