Orange tree

Do you have a certain plant that you absolutely love? Well, I do. I've always wanted to grow an orange tree in my house. I mean a real orange tree growing from a seed! My older brother had planted this orange seed back in November/December 2010. I saw the little sprout of this plant and I had to have it! He must've planted like 10 of them. I really, really wanted it so I took 2 of the little plant home. Why not just get one from the store? Well, I want it when it's little and raise it as it was just my own. Usually the ones at the store is expensive and not only that, it has fruits on it already. I really wanted one that I can call it...my own. Just like having a baby!

When I took the little plant home, it had only two small little leaves. Now the plant is growing to my surprise and added another leaf! Yes! My brother has a huge lemon tree growing in his house and last year, it fruited tons of lemons! I was soo envious!! I'm hoping that I can grow this into something big and have lots of orange growing from it!

I will take pictures of my plant once per month to show how much it is growing. Every day, I would sit next to my plant and just stare at it...yes, my husband calls me crazy...lols! Hey, I once read where it says that if you talk to your plants, they hear you. Hmm...I wonder if it's true.

Anyways, here's a few snapshots of my orange plant.

Picture below: As you can see, the plant is starting to sprout out another leaf! The tall plant next to the two orange plants is actually corn that I happened to just plant a couple of days ago just for fun.

Picture below: This is how I want my plant to grow into!

Again, I'll update once per month of my orange plant to see where it's at with growing!!!! Can't wait until it's big to start having fruits like the one above!! Check back for updates on the growth of my orange tree!

We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it. John Lennon quotes
