Shooting Star VS. Duck Egg

Have you EVER in your life seen a shooting star before? Maybe you have once or twice or even more than 3 times but for me, I've only seen the first real shooting star last night. My husband said he's seen it like a dozen times so far in his life already..really?

Shooting star is a common name for the visible path of a meteoroid as it enters the atmosphere to become a meteor.

While driving home from picking up my husband from work, I actually saw one flying through the dark night sky. At first I thought it was an airplane but then right when it disappeared into the dark, I saw little sparks bursting behind it. I second guessed myself and right when I was going to ask my husband what that was, he asked me if I saw something in the sky. I said I did and he said it was a shooting star. I quickly closed my eyes and made a wish...a long wish.. with a big smile! A real shooting star? NO freaking way...I said this to myself all the way home. WOW....is all I can say.

This isn't the exact shooting star but it was really similar. I'm still fascinated by what I saw and still cannot believe that I saw one for real, right in front/on top of me. Still smiling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While in Green Bay yesterday afternoon, my kids and I were driving around the park because we were waiting to pick up my sister and my nephew to go back to Appleton with us, found something of a delight. At first I didn't notice it but my daughter Chyna said she saw what seems to be an egg. I'm like "What?"...So I drove back and it really was a duck egg! A big white one with a touch of pink. I was memorized by such a thing! I couldn't believe that out of the blue in the middle of the park was this big huge white egg! It had blended along with the white snow so you had to really look for it.

I wanted to pick up the big white egg and bring it home, as did my 4 year old Princeton. But my oldest daughter Selina was having a cow and wouldn't allow us to as she was screaming..."ewww...gross...ahhhhh...NO" and all other kinds of grunts that she was making. I got out of the vehicle to take a closer look at it and see if there is other eggs or a nest around. I really did want to take it home but I didn't. When I picked up my husband from work, I told him about the duck egg. He said we should've taken it home because it was an abandoned egg. I should've. LOLs!!!!!!!!!!!

The left egg is the duck egg and right egg is the chicken egg. See the difference? Big huh?

What an eventful day...first the duck egg finding at the park and then seeing a shooting star at night. Every day should be like this..full of suprises!!

Next time you see a shooting star? Make a wish, it might just come true!

I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps "Oh look at that!" Then- whoosh, and I'm gone...and they'll never see anything like it ever again... and they won't be able to forget me- ever. edu Jim Morrison quotes
